this little kitty you find outside of sandgem town has saved so many of my runs! i've played pokemon platinum at least 10 times, most of which i never actually got to the champion in because i was a dumbass child who couldn't navigate victory road. something that links them all together is that i ALWAYS end up with a luxray on my team!
what do i like about the shinx line? they're cute, they're powerful, electric is a good type, i love cats of all kinds, and they've always been there! platinum was my first pokemon game ever, and i replay it constantly (usually nuzlockes or other challenges). with shinx being a common encounter in the early routes, and me always loving to fill up the pokedex, i always ended up catching one and sticking it on the team. i think if i was a gym leader, i'd be an electric specialist, with a luxray as my ace!
