liminal spaces. cringe amirite? fuckin traumacore unreality bullshit. sadly i love that style of image. genuinely very comforting to me!!! i have depersonalization/derealization disorder so a lot of the time, the world around me looks and feels like those pictures! my memories have always been hazy and everything looks a little bit wrong in them. liminal photos are just what the inside of my head looks like :)

what makes a place "liminal?" there's a few factors, i think;
1. it should be a place where people usually are, like a mall or a park or a house;
2. there should not be people in the place where people usually are;
3. there should be something visibly unsettling about the place, like shadows that are too dark, or visual grain, or a structure entirely out of place;
4. it should not be fucking obviously ai generated go AWAY
